Machina grew a lot in 2016. They started out using a lot of different apps and services they knew could work more efficiently together so they asked me to make those connections and find a few more things to make it easier to run their rapidly expanding business. And they kept me well-fuelled with some very nice coffee in the process!
What I did
- Moved business to Google Suite for email, communication and file storage/sharing for ease of use across multiple locations
- Updated and fixed some Google Maps location issues
- Set up regular analytics and search reporting
Shopify
- SEO overhaul on category organisation and product descriptions
- Blog and content plan targeting key products, which moved many onto the first page of Google search results and increased traffic
- Product description and blog post/review templates to ensure consistent information for customers going forward
Deputy
- Implemented scheduling, time, and attendance system to eliminate the need for spreadsheets and manual payroll bookkeeping
Vend
- In-cafe PoS system, streamlined connections with Xero and Deputy
- Implemented automatic inventory tracking
Xero
- Set up integrations with Vend and Deputy to automate payroll
Capsule
- CRM connected to Google Mail and Mailchimp for sales team ease of use
Mailchimp
- Integration with Capsule, Google Analytics, Shopify
- Template redesign
